Sure signal not working again, red light only, won't reset

Hi, am having more bother with sure signal box.  The last couple of weeks is has barely worked and when I try to reset it, I only get the solid red light .  I've posted details below, please advise.

To double check are you seeing a solid red power light with any of sequence?

When I try to reset I don't get the 2 flashing lights, I get the red light and the phone light and then it goes straight to the solid red light.  Don't get signal here without the ss box so really need this sorted plretty please!

Hi Ishbel, 

 

When only the power light is lit this shows it isn't trying to configure with your Internet connection. 

 

Can you try a different Ethernet cable in a different port on your router to see if this helps?

Thanks for the reply.  So far today I have tried:

New ethernet cable, de-registered and then re-registered the box.  Powered off both router and surge signal, waiting 10 minutes and then powered back on again.  I've had the sequence of 2 white flashing light, then it's gone onto the interenet light (1st light) steady flashing and that's what I still have.  Please please help, I can't think of anything else that I can try!

I didn't notice if you had said previously, who is your ISP and what router are you using?

Some providers (such as Virgin and their Superhub2) just need a tick box selecting in the router config and all starts to work.

It's working...............

Don't know how, but within a couple of minutes of me replying on last post, it's kicked in again!  Just for info, using BT and really had very limited problems with this until a couple of weeks ago.  Hopefully nobody on this forum will ever hear from me again!  Very happy!

Alas it appears I spoke too soon.  Back on the two flashing lights, will see what happens and post again :smileyindifferent:

 

Sadly, as I left the house it was back to the solid red light again, deep depression!  Any thoughts, suggestions, help gratefully received
