Hi

My sure signal has stopped working after i changed my normal sim to a micro sim. The phone is an apple 4s. I have tried everything suggested on all of the forums but it still will not connect. Do you have to re-sync my sure signal box to my new sim?

My sure signal serial number is;

40111126476

Thanks

Have you tried de-registering and then re-registering the VSS box?  I had the same problem on Friday and I done the de-registering and re-registering and within 20 minutes all was working well and all devices (iPhone 5, iPhone 4S and 3 x iPads) all connecting within minutes

Hi

I've upgraded to an iPhone 5 and now my sure signal is not working.

Can you do a resync. The Serial number of the VSS is 40110520968.

Thanks

I am clearly not alone with this problem. I seems that a resync works - could I ask you to do mine. The number is 21222177079.

Thanks

Hi Alastairdav,

I’ve just resynced your Sure Signal for you. To make sure the resync completes, can you perform a factory reset:-

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove then re-insert the power lead.
  • Once all lights display release the reset button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

Let me know how you go on.

Thanks

Andrew

Thanks, Sure Signal now working without doing the factory reset. Should I do it anyway?

...and another...

Got a new Blackberry Z10 on Saturday and it isn't recognised by the Sure Signal Version 2 I have, all the other phones in the house remain connected but I get to struggle with the new toy 😞

Looking at the dashboard for the first time in ages, can't see my number there and any attempt to add it back gets a response that the number is already in the system.

Factory reset didn't do anything so now I'm here asking for a resync of my Sure Signal serial number 40112533803 in the hope that things will go back to normal like they have for everyone else.

Thanks 🙂

Hi Alastairdav,

I’m pleased to see this is working now! :Smiling:

You don’t need to do the factory reset if this is all ok again.

Hi G0DUB,

Welcome to the forum!

I’ve checked your serial number and this is showing as last connected on 18/3/2013 so is everything ok again now?

I’ve re-synced this for you today so please complete this process by performing a factory reset as follows:

-Perform hard rest of the VSS unit by

-Hold in the reset button until all the lights go solid

-Pull the power lead out with the reset button still pushed in

-Continue to hold down the reset button and reconnect the power lead

-Wait for all of the lights to come on then release the reset button

Let me know how you get on. :Smiling:

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi Jenny,

it started working after your resync but I have done the factory reset as well and all now appears normal.

Thanks,

Greg
