Sure signal suspended

Hello, I keep my Sure Signal in a cupboard in case of a Vodafone outage.

There's no signal at my home at the moment, so I plugged in the Sure Signal box. It doesn't work and when I looked at the management portal online, it says it's suspended. Looking at other threads, I need a replacement - is this right?

Thanks

Alistair

hiya,

i dont think theyre supposed to be used as and when.

i think theyre supposed to be more of a long term solution for black spots rather than patches for when the network goes down.

ive read elsewhere on the forum that if theyve not been used for some time they have to make room for newer units. i believe its because vf think if theyre not in use, theyre not needed so they can remove them from the network, in essence suspending them does the same thing.

happy for a mod to clarify

OK, I'd better leave it on all the time then.

In the meantime, I'll wait for someone to tell me how to unsuspend the unit.

Hi walruss,

Thanks for your post.

Unfortunately it's not possible for us to unsuspend a VSS.

What's your serial number please?

I've sent you a PM which can be accessed here. If you could follow the instructions in the PM and send us your details one of the team will be with you as soon as they can.

Cheers,

LeeH

Hello,

I have been told my sure sugnal has been de-registered and cannot be re-registered as I have not used it in 12 months. Can anybody tell me if this is true as I dont see why I need to purchase another if I have paid for one already?

Regards

Hi Darren,

I’m afraid this is correct.

Please see within the terms and conditions here, point three paragraph six.

Thanks,

Gemma

Hello Gemma,

I appreciate you looking into this for me.

It also states "We'll try and tell you when we suspend, restrict or end your
use, but we won't be able to if we don't have your contact details."

Although it states "We'll try", I would expect to be notified when Vodafone
is going to disable (kill) my hardware. Customer services advised that I
would have been sent a text and email, my details have not changed and I did
not get any notice of this. If I did I would have used or sold the device.

How can they disable my hardware without notice?

Regards

Darren

Hi Darren,

Thanks for the update.

We'll need to check your account to see what's happened.

You can find out how to get in contact here.

Cheers
