SureSignal V1 signal strength vs later versions?

Hi there all,

I have quite an old SureSignal V1 box (well out of warranty that has lately been appearing to have a weak signal.  Following other posts, I moved the box to another area of the house, well away from my WiFi router and it still is weak.  If I'm in the same or adjacent room then it works but as soon as I move around 2 rooms away, then I drop to "no signal" on all phones.

Is this likely to be a fault?  I'm pretty sure I've not had this before and it does seem progressively worse.

If not, do the later versions tend to have stronger signals or would I have the same problem?

Many thanks

Gavin

Hi

Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?

Thanks,

Wayne

Hi Gavin,

It could be that the power supply is starting to degrade and providing less power than it should be.

Degrading power supplies are now very common on V1 Sure Signals.

Replacement power supplies are readily available on Amazon or Ebay and only cost around £10 -12 inc. delivery, so worth a try!

Regards.

Mike.
