I am a business user, been with Vodafone for many years and MANY handsets. Now scaled down but still have 5 contracts....
My Suresignal went bang as I believe is quite common and was eventually promised a replacement (no signal from this base where 3 of the handsets are used).
Guess what, they are out of stock and I have been without any contact or alternative for nearly a month!
Someone did suggest going wifi which sounded ideal, except our iphone 6 do not have this feature enabled on Vodafone. I have concluded and threatened to take the contract to EE who do support the iphone 6, which was met with the response "It would be a shame but I don't blame you".
WELL DONE CUSTOMER CARE

Hi,
Yes unfortunately only the iPhone 6s onwards can use Calling Over Wifi and if on an eligible tariff.
Have Vodafone been able to check if your local Vodafone Highstreet Store have one to supply ?
If I went to buy one online it's quoting 1-2 working days for delivery.

Hi, I didn't want to write the whole sad essay but the first call I had to Vodafone they sent me to the store who refused to talk with me as I was a 'business customer' and shunted me back to customer services (they wouldn't even let me use the store phone to call, I went outside and was promised a replacement with apologies), 5 days later there are none in the country and they could not give me a date when they would be, that's when the suggestion for wifi calling would work (but not for the 4x iphone 6 units). I was then pushed to Apple to see if there was a fault with the handsets as the technical customer help said wifi should work! My contracts are up for renewal and as the only offer I got from Vodafone was to upgrade and get new iphones I think the best idea is to take my hadsets over to EE who do support this.

Hey,
Yes the iPhone 6 does support the feature but Vodafone have decided not to make this feature available for them.
Ive heard before where a Vodafone Highstreet Store wouldn't let a person use the instore phone. Not good support imo !
Please take into consideration that not every Network provides the same signal strengths and Data Speeds everywhere, and in the same area. EE will also have not spots and fringe coverage.

EE seems to be the best bet, they are supporting wifi calling on iphone 6 and not holding it back to force you into an upgrade. Call disconnection department and ask for a free replacement SS then leave when your contract is up. We have just received a free SS unit but had to take out a cheap sim only deal which my daughter will be able to use. By the way, the replacement unit isn't connecting (no suprise there) and I really don't have the time and energy to spend trying to get it working.
Unforunately sometimes its best to vote with your feet.

@jetsetcarwash Please see the private message I've recently sent you with details on how to get in touch.
@mark990 Sorry to hear your Vodafone Sure Signal replacement isn't working.
Can you take a look at our Sure Signal Troubleshooting thread, and then post back your results if you’re not directed to an existing thread?
