I have a Sure Signal v1 and an Asus DSL N55U router. The router is a recent acquisition and the SS worked fine with my old Belkin router. With the Asus, there is no response from the SS. Anyone had a similar experience? I've seen somwething about enabling/disabling WAN passthrough, but this has had no effect. It should work but for the life of me I can't understand why it won't. I've tried Vodafone phone support and he was as puzzled as I was. The router has the latest firmware. It seems to be a common problem - anyone had any luck? Would really appreciate some help.

Well, I'm giving up on this - it doesn't appear possible to get the Asus to work with a Sure Signal, so I'm going back to my Belkin and selling the Asus. I can see that the SS is periodically trying to communicate with the outside world but something is stopping it from doing so. What a colossal waste of everyone's time! Many thanks to all for your kind assistance; much appreciated.

@julianhiorns could last things to try if you get a chance:
Check the MTU value in the internet settings page
Try setting yours to 1500 (mines at 1492 but i'm running a fibre connection)
Also; check your NAT passthrough settings:
PPTP and IPSec both need to be enabled.

Have you checked:
MTU setting - although more often affects V3's
VPN Pass Through, not WAN...
It is important to report all failed SureSignal V3 using the links below to:
