Hi,
My Suresignal box has been working fine for a few years now but has suddenly stopped. We've not changed the network configuration at all.
All four lights are green and permanantly on and could be described as flashing very fast.
Speed tests show a download speed of 20.41Mb/s and upload of 1.12Mb/s.
The externa IP address is 82.2.174.28
The SureSignal serial number is 21197036805.
The results of the Traceroute are:

Hi Mike,
There is currently an issue affecting Virgin Media customers with their Sure Signal.
Have a look at this thread for more info ......
http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/t5/Vodafone-Sure-Signal/Sure-Signal-V3-not-working-even-after-resetting/... From about message 3
If your SS has been down for a few days now, this could be your problem.
Regards,
Mike.

Thanks for your reply but that thread does not appear to sove the problem - just more people like me with similar issues and no resolution.
This has been a problem for many weeks now and Ive only just got around to looking at in more detail.
One simple question - what does all four lights on (flashing very quickly) and green mean?
Do I have a faulty box for instance?
FYI it does not reset properly i.e. run through the correct sequence when holding the reset button down.
Thanks

Hi Mike,
Sorry if I misled you.
Judging by your serial no. I believe you have a V1 Sure Signal and
I'm fairly sure you have a degraded power supply.
A difficult problem to diagnose without replacing the power supply.
Replacement power supplies can be obtained from Amazon or Ebay for about £10 -12 inc. Delivery. Just search each site for 'sure signal power supply'.
If you have a suitable power supply that you could 'borrow' to test with that would prove if it is the power supply before you purchase.
The requirements for the power supply are 12Volt @ 1.5Amp with a 2.5mm female connector,
A higher amperage would be ok for testing purposes.
typical uses for suitable units are external hard drives, printers etc.
Regards,
Mike.

Hi Mike,
Thanks. That has definitely made a difference as I now have only lights 1,2 & 4 on constantly and not flashing. I think I now need to re-register the phones after the reset. Would you agree?
Thanks
Mike

Hi Mike.
Yes that has resolved the problem.
Thanks very much

Hi Mike,
That's good to hear. :smileyhappy:
To retain the integrity and safety of the Sure Signal, please replace with the correct power supply as I have indicated.
Regards,
Mike.
