Suresignal not working

Hi, I have been through all the trouble shooting steps on my v1 suresignal and was left with it being potentially faulty but I'm loathe to accept that it just suddenly becomes faulty after working fine especially since so many others have the same issue and have been fixed.

I have lights 1 2 and 4 on but nothing on 3.

Can someone please confirm that my firmware has been updated, and when it last connected to your servers?

Thanks my serial number is 21223474558

Hi LisaEldred,

Your Sure Signal is on the latest firmware and connected to our servers at 7.42pm yesterday.

Are you now able to get a 3G signal from it?

If not, do a factory reset of the unit:

  • Hold down the reset button until all the lights show/flash (about 30 seconds)
  • Keeping the reset button held down, remove both the Ethernet cable and power lead
  • Re-insert the power lead
  • Once all the lights display, release the reset button
  • Re-insert the Ethernet cable.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around one hour

Thanks,

Andy

Hi I have done this but still only get lights 1 2 and 4 and no phone signal.

It has been on continuously for past couple of days with nothing changing at 7.42pm so why would it connect then but not stay connected?

Hi LisaEldred,

It could be one of a variety of things. To help rule out an ISP issue, try connecting the Sure Signal to a friend or relatives internet connection for an hour or so. If it still doesn't work, it will point to a fault with the unit.

Many thanks, Ben

I too cannot get my Suresignal Version 1 to work properly - top 2 green llights and 4th one down all on ok as in previous poster's comments! I have reset as below, changed ethernet cable, contacted my ISP Sky re ports etc settings Vodafone suggested I check, but cannot as I'm not technical! Vodaf also suggested I get Sky to allocate extra IP address to my Sky router for the Suresignal box - but even they cannt understand the request and say they cannot do it anyway! So I'm totally peed off with Vodaf and Sky as my Suresignal box is still not working properly and nobody (Vodaf or Sky) wants to sort it out for me! 253112320 is my box serial no. in case I can get it replaced?

Hi holmroad

Please double check the serial number as the one provided isn’t bringing anything up.

Thanks,

Jenny

Hi Jenny - sorry about delay - but my 'Serial No. on my Suresignal 1 box is:- 21223147337 So maybe I quoted the incorrect barcode number? Its 'BSR FEMTO VDAFONE UK' Sagem box incidentally! I've tried everything, even changed the ethernet cable from yourc yellow cat 5E version to a black CAT6A Verified cable!4PR/26AWO Its only since I've been using top of range mobiles like Galaxy S3, Note 3 Neo and currently Note 3 N9005 thatv I've really found the Suresignal box is working so poorly! However I'm convinced that no further ports are opened as suggested to explore by Vodaf, or that the Suresignal box mac address is being 'picked up' by the Sky Router Version SR101! Many thanks

Hi holmroad,

I've sent a firmware update to your Sure Signal. Please don't unplug/reset it for at least 24 hours.

After this time, please turn your phones off and back on. It should then be back up and running.

Thanks,

Sukhi

My Sure Signal v3 has not worked since I changed to BT Infinity.  Symptoms are Power Light flashing, Internet light off, Service light Orange and In Use light Orange.

I have opened the following ports on my router:  8, 50,123, 500, 4500 and 1723.

Any help would be appreciated.

Pete.

Thanks for your reply Pete, but my issue seems to be different - especially that mine is a Suresignal version ONE mate - and not version THREE!!

So any advice on a version 1 would be greatly appreciated!
