Terms And Comditions....?

Hi, I recently bought a vodafone mobile broadband pay and go internet from a shop in my town. I was advised by the advisor that this was the best provider to use as he had checked and for my postcode (BT82 9PT) it had the best coverage. I was unable to access the internet at home. I topped it up with 30 pounds of credit but it automatically went to vodafone ireland and ate the credit. The guy in the shop that advised me it has great coverage has now told me that I cannot get a refund. Is this true? Surly a large company like vodafone would not have a 'no returns' policy under these circumstances.

Hi nmagu,

Our Top Up and Go Modems should come pre-loaded with £15 worth of credit already on them, and normally roaming is disabled to prevent it being used on a non Vodafone-UK network, so realistically this should not have happened.

While it is true that Vodafone Stores do not have a 7-day cooling off period anymore, I think you have a good case with this. I can see that your postcode puts you right on the border of Northern Ireland, so it's not difficult to see how the issue happened - it just really shouldn't have happened at all.

So that we can check your account and verify exactly what happened, I'll send an email to you know which will ask for all the details we will need. One of the team will then be in touch :)
