Tethering abroad

Can i use my phone as a tethering device for my ipad if I have the international add on in my plan for ireland? Shop says yes but I am not so sure.

You certainly can but please be aware that tethering you be more data intensive.  

If you exceed your allowance, it will still at UK rates but keep a watch on your usage.

Hi, as well as what @AnnS has said, tethering will only work on pay monthly contracts not PAYG.
