Hi i bought a new phone a samsung galaxy j3 and had my old number tranfered to a new sim i bought a £10 big bundle voucher with it but when i try to top it up after i put the 12 digit code in i get a message saying connection problem or invalid mmi code can anyone help thanks

Your best bet is to contact Customer Services, either via 191 or Live Chat and make sure everything is set up correctly.   It may be that the port hasn't completed, although afaik, it should all work via the temporary number that'll have been on the SIM.


Edited to add: I see AnnS and I were posting at the same time.  Try her suggestion first.

Hi @gaz83

 

The first thing to do is to reboot the phone, you can also follow this by doing a network search to solve the connection problem.  This is done by going into your network settings > mobile networks > network operators > select an alternative operator wait for it to reject and choosing Vodafone UK.

 

This will update the new SIM onto the network.
