Transfer of data to SD card from phone

Tried opening file manager. No option to move photos etc to card. Help.

Actually just found a way to move on mine.

Open gallery, long press on a photo until a tick appears (can then do multiple selections) then in the menu bar that appears in the bottom of the screen is an option to move photos and select an album on the SD card.

No option to move to SD on mine. Only to upload- to whwew I wonder? I checked the SD card. Nothing new saved to it.
