Hi KMRT- Paul
I'm disappointed to hear that you have had this
happen; as you're a member of the mountain rescue service I can understand
the imperative to have a working service.
I've tried to search for your registered email address to track down these emails. However I am unable to find anything from your registered eForum address, did you use a different email? This might explain why you haven’t had a reply or why I cannot find your emails.
To be able to help further, I've sent you an email that will route back to our channel. If you can reply back with the details we need I will look into it for you.
Thanks for your direct email BenJ - I have replied back with the requested details.
I did use the same registered email address, so puzzled why nothing has shown up for you - hey ho, the joys of t'internet!
Would it help if I hold my hands up and state that I do work professionally in I.T around IP networks and VOIP all the time, so if you need me to try anything technical with my router/firewall settings, I'm happy to do that for you (I always make firewall backups before any changes anyway, so happy to try anything out!).

Hi again - Any progress please? Am desperate to get this box working ASAP.

Was woken up at 5am this morning with an SMS advising that my S/Signal is now properly active.
Sure enough, I'm now able to add other critical numbers to the users list.
Thanks to those at VF who've helped sort this out.

Just tried to complete the form as requested and got the message

Now even less happy
Hi - my Suresignal is working OK, I managed to set it up eventually and the initial users all connect to vodafone via it. But having completed the registration form its status on the business account portal is pending active and has been for 4 days now. I have completed the contact us email form as recommended by this thread - but no response. I do wonder why it is suggested if no one is acting on it?
So now I'm trying this forum in the hope that you can stop me getting as exasperated and angry as some others on this forum by correcting the registration problem (while hopefully not causing problems for my working sure signal).
Firstly, a very warm welcome to the eForum Family, it's always great to see new faces on here :).
I've taken a look at your Sure Signal details from the email you sent and can see that your Sure Signal is now registered correctly. Can you confirm that you're now able to add and remove users without any issues?
Hi Guys, hope you can help with this.
The sure signal part of my account has been lost on my vodafone account web site for a long time, but it still worked ok. Up until now that is. After my internet was down for nearly two weeks due to Aol . I tried to restart the sure signal but no good. I tried a master re-set but still no good, allthough it did go through the set up light show. Next I tried de registering it, but this option was not on the sure signal part of my account, just a button saying remove user, which I clicked on. Now when I go to register the sure signal, I get to the part where I add users and continue, but it says the serial number is allready in use. I assume I have not de registered it correctly. At this point I think I need help from you guys to reset things and get my account working again. Hope you can help.
Yes my SureSignal is registered as of today. Unfortunately, in fixing whatever you fixed my suresignal has now started to reset continuously. So before it was registered I had a stable 3G signal and could use it to make calls etc. from my phones. Now it will start and go to 1,2,4 + flashing 3 and stay in that state for about 5-6 mins then goes to 1,4 solid + 2,3 flashing for about 5 secs then all lights go off and it resets.
So I've moved from a position of the Sure Signal working fine but pendingActive to being registered but constantly resetting. I find it difficult to believe that the two events are not related.
Just a quick update. I now have all lights on solid except the third phone simbol light. Still no mobile signal. Still can't complete the registration, due to serial no allready in use.
Another update. My wifes phone and my daughters phone are working, but my mobile is not. I can only assume that when I tried to de-register the sure signal, I just removed my own phone from it. I can still not register the sure signal because the serial number is allready in use, and so I dont have access to add my own number back into the system. Really frustrating! I think all it needs is for someone to de register my sure signal so I can start over again. The problem may have started because I originally registered it with an another mobile number. Not sure if this was my daughters or one no longer in use.
I'm sure someone can fix this for me.
Sure Signal was still resetting early this morning but had stopped when I returned home at lunchtime. So its been running OK with lights 1,2,4 solid and 3 flashing supporting calls text etc. since then (about 10 hours I'd guess).
So if you changed something - thank you. If you didn't then please don't as its working OK at the moment. Long may it last!
I'd be fascinated to understand the platform you are running (as an IT/ telecomms specialist myself) as it strikes me as requiring a lot of loving maintenance to keep it running. IT and telecoms are traditionally have very different world views and this service drops neatly into the middle! Good luck.
Thanks for your continued updates on the state of play with your Sure Signal.
I've checked and the unit is active, as indicated by yourself.
From your posts, I gather that it's just your number that isn't working?
If this is the case, then you'll need to remove your own number, assign one of the other users ownership of the unit, then add your number again and finally assign ownership back to your number.
What handset do you own?
Can you give the above suggestion a go and let me know how you get on?
Have also experienced this problem! Previously my SureSignal worked fine but then had some form of fit, so had to be replaced.
Since I registered its replacement I've been unable to register anyone - getting the same error message as everyone else here, it appears (We'll try to fix this soon etc. etc.).
Please can you help?! I live in a place with zero Vodafone signal so my SureSignal's the only thing keeping us going! My phone works ok as it's my account but my wife's, her friends' and her parents' phones (all Vodafone) disappear into the black hole of reception that is my house whenever they visit.
Hi flennerz, welcome to the eForum
Do you have any issues with any other aspect of the online services on My Account? Are you able to view bills successfully, change details, manage the account and so on, or do you have difficulties with the online billing service?
I'd like to rule out any issues there before we dig deeper into the Sure Signal.
I've no other problems with My Account at all, everything else is fine! My Nokia 5800 overheats from time to time, and naturally, being a Nokia, it swiches itself off at inopportune moments, but really my main beef is with the Sure Signal.
