When I enter my mobile number beginning 07 into the unlock code request form it takes away the 0, then complains that I have not entered a number beginning 07.

Try clearing your browser cache and data and or try another browser.
If no joy then customer service on 191 or live chat can fill out the form for you @billsparrow53

There seems to be a problem entering the mobile number. However, if you use the scroll down and up keys, and reenter the number, it will eventually accept the complete number.
If you find you still cannot complete the form, Customer Services will be able to help.
