Solution

V3 not working (flashing power light, solid orange users light)

Hi,

 

I'm having trouble with a v3, serial number 40124122934. Trying to install at GU35 9QE.

Have tried a few things to get it working the last couple of days but all it does is stubbornly sit there with the power light flashing red, and the users light on solid orange.

 

IP is 62.8.105.60

ISP is TalkTalk Business

Our router is a Draytek Vigor 2820n

Speedtest - 57ms, download 10mb/s, upload 1.2mb/s

Hi matt_egs,

 

I’ve done some investigating for you and the light sequence that you’re seeing indicate that there are issues with the connection between the Sure Signal and your router. Can you make sure there is a solid cable connection between the two and also check your router settings to ensure the correct ports are open.

Hi Andrew, thanks for getting back to me.

 

The cable between the router and VSS is plugged in. I can try a different cable if you think this would be worth trying.

 

I have opened the following ports on the router:

Port 50 - TCP/UDP
Port 4500 - UDP
Port 500 - UDP
Port 123 - UDP

Port 8 - TCP/UDP

 

I have also phoned up vodafone tech support, they suggested that I check with my ISP that these ports are open at their end, although other posts on this forum have confirmed this for TalkTalk Business I will check anyway.
