VEA Discount Scheme

Recently upgraded to a new contract with vodafone, was advised i can apply or the VEA scheme, which will discount the contract by 30%. I applied for the VEA scheme online, and received a confirmation email, statsing the discount has been applied. When i check my bundle, theres no discount applied and im being charged full amount.

I have tried contacting customer services on numerous occasions, only to be told please wait 48 hours. It's since been 2 week's and nothing been resolved.

 

How difficult is it, to apply a discount, which was promised intially when the crontact was taken out?

Hi @kay121

 

The discount will be applied to the second and subsequent bills and you will see this as VA discount and this will be credited back and subtracted from the final bill total.

 

If you have received the confirmation email, you won't having anything to worry about.  The best place to look will be the My Vodafone Application, you will be able to see the discount from there.

When I added it a few months ago to my contract, it showed up a few hours later under my bundle details, e.g.

 

Inclusive roaming calls texts and picture messages
Vodafone Advantage - 30%
500MB Wi-fi

Thats what i was told upon my upgrade, i was told once you get the confirmation email, it will take affect on the account.

I'd try adding it again, can't do any harm.

 

Have you ported your number since or made any substantial account changes?

I'll give that a go, see if it makes any difference. No I haven't ported the number recently or made any changes, apart from the upgrade.

Quick update.

 

Tried adding applying for the VEA on the same number again, and i got an email saying, Discount con not be applied to this account, due to the contract.

 

Called up Cusomer services regarding this issue, they had no clue about this. Also not surprised by the resolution offered, 'Please wait 48 hours'.

 

Any more solutions regarding this problem?

What plan have you upgraded to? You can't add it to a plan that is already discounted, however Vodafone don't show if a plan is discounted verry clearly.

Hi,

I upgraded to the Red Extra plan, when i did upgrade over the phone,i was told that this plan is eligible for the VEA discount. No other discount are applied to the plan.
