Hi,
Just received a new nano sim card (same number) with my iPhone 5 and handset not connecting to Sure Signal. Change ownership to my wife's phone and re-added my phone - also tried a VSS reset....still not working.
Would you mind performing a resync - S/N: 40114621309
Thanks,
L

FAO Dave/James,
I followed the instructions of Dave who rang me earlier to button-reset the new Sure Signal, which I did, to pick up a new config and the iphone 5 now works fine.
For future ref, what did you guys do?
Thank Luke from third line, but it looks like it's all working now, so he won't be needed for this one.

Sorry to piggy back your call, but the problem is totally similar for me. I have an older V1 Sure Signal and several devices in the house that use it and are continuing to use it successfully.
The usual three lights are on solid, indicating that the Sure Signal is connected and broadcasting a 3G signal. 3 other existing devices are able to make/receive calls, texts and data (if WiFi turned off on the device). These are iphone 3GS, iphone 4 and an HTC Desire S.
1. Confirm that the handset you are trying to get a signal on is a 3G device. Done. It's an iphone 5 and it works fine on 3G (at a lower signal level) on the macro cell outside.
2. Confirm that the number you are using has been added to your Sure Signal. Done - it was an existing number from an iphone 4S. I also removed the number from the sure signal and added it again yesterday. No difference.
3. Test your SIM in another 3G handset. Also not possible as I too don't have another iphone 5. Other phones work on the VSS and the errant iphone 5 works fine outside or if I turn off or remove the user's phone number from the VSS.
Has Your SIM recently been replaced? - Yes - new Nano sim received recently with my iPhone 5. All transferred ok in tunes and as mentioned previously, I removed the number from the VSS and re-added it (to pick up the new IMEI on the iphone 5).
Ben - for completeness, I can see full signal on the iphone 5 and it says Vodafone UK - it's only when I try to use it that it fails on voice, text and data. Incoming stuff also fails. I did notice that the third LED on the VSS which normsally flashes when a phone is using it, does flash once when I start something on the iphone 5 - but only once.
I've just done a full power-off-and-hold-the-reset-button-and-put-the-power-back-in reset on the VSS. Currently waiting for it to come back up - stuck on just the power LED for the last 30 minutes. VSS S/N is 21196891515. I guess it may need a kick now?

Ben - further info. The VSS came back after another button reset and the iphone 5 behaves as before. It registers with the VSS - I can see full bars - but if I try to make a call, I get the tri-tone (beep-beep-beep) and a 'call failed' message on the screen. Calls inbound go to voicemail. The display flips between full bars/vodafone UK, then 'No Service', then 1 bar/Vodafone UK (outside cell) every few minutes. If I make a call when it's in the latter state, I sometimes get through. Needless to say, the other iphone 3/4 and HTC all work fine on the VSS.
So, I've logged in to my account and deleted the iphone5 user from the VSS for now, so that at least it works on 2G (and the outside 3G upstairs in the right weather). I can add it back in if you need it for diagnostics, but it seems very clear to me that the iphone5 with this phone number (which previously worked in an iphone4 on the VSS) does not interact well with my current VSS. It keeps flipping in and out and does not recognize it. The question is whether this is a general issue with iphone5 upgrades where the phone number has been transferred to a new nano sim.
