Hello, could not find a properly named section so hope this is good, recently received a debt letter staing my address my name and post code, buy the account was something i have never seen before the debt was over £1200.00p i started the revelant conversation with the online chat, they gave me a number, then that department gave me another number to ring so i did, at this stage my phone stated 29 minutes of call so far, the gentlmen readf all the notes and also what the other operators told him of the conversation so far, so he asked me do i reckonise the account number on the debt letter i said no thats why im here talking to you!! he then said please can you give me your name and address, and dob, and my pin number i did, he said thats great i see your account with us you have had for over 14 years,but this account number with the debt was taken out with a diffrent pin number and diffrent dob !!! so i said how the hell did vodafone give them a new account then send item to a completely diffrent address he said, oh dont knot could be old system changed with new system go into your local vodafone shop with and debt letter, i said so you notice the dob is wrong my pin wrong yet you let this person start a new account and deliver a phone/s to a new address, yes he said its complicated, we cannot put a fraud on that account, how does that bleep work, and what makes me laugh is my account that is the genuine account is a buisness account i have never ever had any other accounts.

Hello here is an update, i went to a vodafone store near me after taking an afternoon off work to sort out this debt thats not mine, after two hours the assistant manager in the store ( who was great ) got through to customer services to sort out this debt low and behold when i spoke to the lady on there phone she stated why on earth did they not put you through to us when you originaly was on the phone to them that weekeend, this is a clear mistaken identity, i live in the south he lives in the north and 6 years diffrence in age she stated that it was an admin error on vodafone part and will now sort out this problem also to check my credit score, so the persons that i spoke to from the start did not even have a clue what to do but to turn me away, this is still ongoing, and james who was on the phone to me from vodafone fraud department you need to learn whats fraud you should off clearly seen the big picture but would not deal with me on the phone, over 15 years i been with vodafone and this can happen just becarefull every one, update when more news.
