This thread has been created to discuss and troubleshoot the version 3 Sure Signal when the light sequence is as follows:
Cause
This light sequence indicates the Sure Signal's not active and it has been unable to authenticate on the Vodafone network
Troubleshooting
Please restart your Sure Signal. If the symptoms continue please add the following details to this thread:

Have been working fine on and off for months and then this evening we no longer have a working VSS.

Seems to me it is very very flaky bit of hardware and software.
I seem to have to reset mine several times every day without fail.
Must admit the orange equivalent built into the HTC phones was far more robust and reliable.
Oh and cheaper as it was free!

How I agree with you! How I miss Orange
I only moved to Vodafone because when Orange became EE the inbuilt booster on my blackberry seemed to become a little more unreliable and I thought having the Vodafone SS would be better, but now comparing the two I wish I'd stayed with Orange! The inbuilt signal booster was 90% good whereas I'd say SS is about 20% reliable. It is such a pain as am locked into 24 month contract and can hardly use my phone at home at all

Hi please help, can't function and run my business with no phone signal! Only changed to vodafone because of the sure signal allowed me to have reception at home where we have none! And it's a nightmare!
SS used to work absolutely fine but now works for a few minutes then drops out continuously. Recently upgraded BT internet to unlimited and wonder if they have given us rubbish internet becase we don't pay as much now?!
It is also plugged in near wireless printer and wireless router could this be an issue? Though was never an issue before...
I am sure the below results are pretty bad but I don't understand why it suddenly would be a problem when not before? THANK YOU!!!

PAthePA - Thanks for providing your Traceroute, everything looks ok. Your IP address is on our whitelist. Your speed test and ping test seem fine.
To make sure it's up to date on our network I’ve given the SS a re sync from our end, can factory reset to complete the process?
Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
-Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
-Once the lights come back on, release the button.
The Sure Signal will be back online in around 1 hour.
