This thread has been created to discuss and troubleshoot the version 3 Sure Signal when the light sequence is as follows:
Cause
This light sequence indicates the Sure Signal's not active and it has been unable to authenticate on the Vodafone network
Troubleshooting
Please restart your Sure Signal. If the symptoms continue please add the following details to this thread:

On a PC:
On a Mac:
This will help us get the quickest possible resolution for you.

I'll be honest to me it sounds like you may have a faulty Sure Signal.
If you would rather somebody talk you through how to set it up correct get in touch here.

I'm having problems with a Sure Signal V3. Getting a flashing power light and 2 amber lights solid. My test results are as follows:

Hello,
My VSS was working fine until the end of last week but we had some electricsl work done and the repeated turning on and off of the power seems to have upset it.
I now get Version 3 VSS Lights (Power - flashing, Internet - off, In Service - orange, In Use - orange)
My ping is 39ms, download 6.92, upload 0.37. Packet loss is 0%, jitter is 2ms.
My IP address is 86.133.187.80 my IPV6 address is ::ffff:5685:bb50

My suresignal has stopped working (again) over the past 3 days. I works fine for weeks on end, and then just becomes flaky and unusable, Which is very inconvenient. Have tried restarting it several times, waiting all day for it to somehow magically start working etc. I moved it (with the ADSL router) to a difrent phone line about three weeks ago, but it as mostly worked well since then, until the past few days.

hi, I just spoke to plus net support
They seem to think it is related to them, rather than a vodafone issue, as they are also having issues with customers and VPN - just after they did some maintanence last night
They are working on it at top priority - and has gone to their head of networking to be looked at

Problem as per title. Any help will be much appreciated. The trace route seems very poor but I've no idea what it's telling me.
