Hi Suresignal was working OK for a couple of days and then had flashing power light and solid in house. At this stage unit was working over a powerline network with local switch. Hi - I dont seem to have had a reply to my post of 27th June yet - the problem remains  the same - we have 3 or 4 days when it works fine then the box displays the whole range of light sequences - at the moment it is red flashing, orange; blank; orange. There is no telling. The vodaphone signal is not sufficient in itself to provide a decent service so we rely heavily on the booster and it is very difficult to operate when it is down. The box was new when we got it. We really need to know why it isn't working and what we can do to resolve this - again would appreciate your help please.

Hi all,

michaelsan – I’ve just responded to your other post here but I can see you’ve already given the requested information on this thread. Apologies for that – it’s why we ask people to stick to one thread where possible so we can see everything.

Can you check the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) on the router is set to 1500 for me? If it won’t go that high, set it to the maximum value available.

--------------------------------

gadgetbloke and stevecatell – The details you’ve both provided there look OK.

I’ve done a resync, so can you please reset the Sure Signal for me to pick this up?

  • Locate the button on the base of the box next to the Ethernet ports.
  • Press and hold the button for approximately 30 seconds.
  • Once the lights come back on, release the button.
  • The Sure Signal will come online in around 1 hour.

 --------------------------------

pscm_assoc – The upload speed of 0.31ms is below the functioning minimum of 0.33ms, so this would cause the Sure Signal to time out. It wouldn’t be getting a response back it time to keep the connection open.

 --------------------------------

pludlo – Apologies that your post was missed.

As mentioned in my post here, it sounds like the issue is down to using a radio signal for connection rather than a fixed line. The Sure Signal is designed to work with cabled broadband only. This is specified here under “What do I need for Vodafone Sure Signal”.

Dave

Dave

I wonder if you have read the points raised by Kijoma - see my previous post - this is not down to a radio signal as you will see. The thing works fine for a while and for most Kijoma customers it works better than a landline. Please can you give more specific help and answer the points raised.

Thanks

Hi Dave

Have tried your link but it just says website address is incorrect. Have checked with Kijoma again - they have no instance where the VSS failure was not down to the box/server. Please help as this important for our business.

Hi Dave

PLEASE IGNORE THIS POST - IT HAS NOW STARTED FLASHING THE INTERNET LIGHT SO I WILL LEAVE IT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS

I hold the reset button down for 30 seconds (have tried a minute) and the lights do not change. It is a V3 box. When I let go of the button after 30 seconds, the power light goes back to solid red and the two orange solid lights disappear. Then the internet light starts flashing white, but after no more than 10 seconds it goes back to red flashing and 2 orange solid lights?

Thanks

Steve

Hi mtu is set to maximum size all ports forwarded rebooted 10 times same issue

Exactly the same with me too!
