Hi drey_p

Thanks for information.

My actual contract started on 28/04 but I informed the issue with in 2 days to all available departments including eForum and that is why Voda agreed to do my first exchange on 05/06 and next on 15/05 and another due tomorrow and they agreed in written(web chat) and on phone aswell if it still wont resolve the issue I can cancel my contract.

Actually yesterday I called to cancel my contract but I thing the returns team instead of sending me a return bag (which I actually for a voice message on my landline that - my return bag will be will me within 10 day) instead they placed order for exchange.

Lets see if that will work or otherwise no other option than cancelling my contract as i got Unlock code from Voda for my S6 which is not worth unlocking if the Video calling is not funtioning properly.

Vicky R

Vodafone as a network provider is fine but if there unable to offer me this feature on my phone then i will be forced to cancel my contract as this is something i use. hopefully this is resolved

An issue with your phone doesn't give you the right to end your contract, at least not without paying for the time remaining in it.

Your contract is for airtime only and doesn't include the device you use it on.

im 5 days into my contract and does the fact that on the vodafone website it states that the phone features video calls "which obviously is does but not on vodafone" surely that advertising something that they cant offer works in my favour for changing my handset or compleately cancelling i dont want to leave voda but i dont want a phone thats does not have the features its ment to have because vodafone have restricted it

Which means you can return the device under the 14 day cooling off period.

oh cool. not what i really wanted to do because the phone itself looks feels and runs amazing just this little issue. i can recieve video calls i have just realised i just cant make them as there is no icon for it

Hi drey_p

Then its unfair/wrong that Voda doing as they providing a locked phone which is not their property and putting in stocked softwares in it when they are not suppose to and in a handset which don't belong to them. And they doing it all without our permission.

Not blaming Voda again just put my point.

I'm still having trouble...... email from tech team say I must have mobile data on... guess what, mobile data on and it still doesn't work.

This is a Vodafone issue, not a Samsung one.

I received my phone 17/4/15 and raised the issue within the first few days, I also started a thread regarding it which didn't produce any soluitions.

Hi drey_p

Here I bit dis-agree with you. As Voda advertised on their own wesite regarding the phone and its features it giver the right to cancel the contract if it won't work as prescribed.

It is an extra and more convinient option if we chose to contact Samsung directly reagrding any issue but until the time of contract Voda is equally responsible for any issue and should try to resolve.

I'm not blaming voda for anything but this is how it works otherwise I can start a new bussiness in which I buy few sims from voda and few handsets of diffrent brands and strts selling and if anything goes wrong customers can contact either Voda or the phone manufacturing companies.

Sory if I offended you.

I'm afraid it doesn't.  The contract is for airtime only and it has nothing to do with the handset you use the airtime on.  As per the T&Cs:

A, This agreement covers the SIM and any services I use in my plan. It doesn't cover any mobile equipment

This sort of thing has been discussed time and time again on this forum with the result always being the same.  You don't get out of the contract because of the phone not working properly.
