Hi there. Firstly the speeds and setup on my broadband have been great, so has most of the customer support I have had with initial gremlins on setup

I do have two big headaches though. I have a zyxcel nsa325 network drive which I store music, photos, movies etc on and On my old plusnet modem I just plugged it in the ethernet port and my Hitachi tv saw it. Now although the drive is visible through my PC and is visible wordlessly on the home network, the drive is not seen by my TV *unless the drive is plugged directly into the the ethernet port on the TV. So what setting am missing, there is no help or suggestions on the net, with it being a new modem there is no firmware 6 for it either.

Secondly, when I signed up for vodafone home broadband I was told that I would get 10 email addresses too, I have no idea where they are or indeed the pop/imap.plus.net settings for the addresses or the settings so I can send emails on my current email address.

Hope someone can help and thanks in advance

I have been experiencing reboots of the router every 5 hours or so. When it first reboots memory usage is at around 30% then it creeps up over the next few hours to just over 90% and stops serving pages and doesn't allow me to view the config. 10-15 minutes later it has rebooted. When you have lost internet connection, take a look at the status and I guess you will see the System>"uptime since last reboot" is a few minutes lower than the Internet>"PPP session uptime".

My service only started on Wednesday so tech support are just happy to blame it on the 10 day line training period but have managed to get it escalated to 2nd line support. Currently estimating 72 hours for a callback so I'm going to connect my decent router to the Vodafone Connect to make the Connect act as a modem only to see if that fixes it,

Do you guys have addtional access points (wired, not extenders) as this was the issue I had previously, i.e. roaming to/from the AP and then the connect router not able to route correctly.

re additional access points, not me so i cant comment, sorry.

As someone who uses their own £150 Modem/Router and £30 8 port switch after 17 months its great news to hear Vodafone are moving in the right direction. I need to leave next month regardless of cost because Vodafone have taken the P*ss out of me for 17 months and forced me to buy stuff that works.

I've had a lot of line drop outs since the upgrade. New decent Router delivered, using the VF one as a modem, roll on June and moving away ASAP to a decent supplier

Useful tip about memory.
I'll keep an eye on mine.
Interesting you get 5 hours where mine is approx half that.
If it is a memory leak issue I wonder what is causing it?
Happens at night too so not useage related perhaps.
I have DDNS configured. Was initially on a host in my LAN but moved to the VF router yesterday to see if that helped....It didn't.

I'm not seeing any reboots or memory leaks. Since the last firmware version everything seems to be working as expected (so far)

Could it be those with reboot problems are older vf routers? I'm not near mine so can't remember if there's a hardware version. i got mine middle of last year so around 6 months old and has been fine since i rebooted for the new version (2 weeks?)....

Got mine last March. Black one.
Say Huawei 963168_HUAWEIVOX25 from the GUI STATUS page.
So far since monitoring memory appears to increase approx 10% in the last two 30 minutes slots. Currently at 60%
