Vodafone Mobile Broadband - I Need Settings & APN Information

hey,

im really having a hard time here!

i brought a voda k3565 dongle yesterday, but it is shockingly bad the speed is attrocious, i do however have a sony ericsson x1 which is unlocked from o2, this fone can act as a dongle too.. i use it with o2 web to connect to my laptop but the data is 500mb limit.

i got the voda sim with the dongle .. however it will not connect to the internet on my x1, iv added a new connection and used the following settings to no avail:

apn : pp.vodafone.co.uk , wap, wap

and

apn : pp.internet , web , web

is there any other settings i can try?

Try ppbundle.internet, web, web

Going back to the original issue, it is unlikely that the modem itself is responsible for the poor speeds here, as it is capable of very fast connections. I would expect you to find you have the same slow speeds when using your phone as a modem, because it is more likely to be a localised fault with your nearest cell site.

If you can confirm the full postcode of where you're having these problems, we will be able to check the masts in this area for you and identify any issues that may be causing the slow speeds you're encountering

im in the M33 area (sale) - the speed i was getting was around .19 mbps down and a mere .06 mbps upload .. on my o2 sim im getting over 1mbps up and down
