Solution

Vodafone Mobile Broadband Payg 'no Network' Msg

Hi there,

Could I have some help please....
I have a Dell 1545 running Windows 7 that my Vodafone Mobile Broadband is not working on.
I have successfully installed these before on several PCs/laptops without having any issues. This is my first install on a Dell.

The first problem I have is that the .exe file runs everytime I plug in the dongle.
When I finally get to the application it never finds the network (although it worked initially).

I have investigated on the web, but cannot find any solutions.

Can anyone help please? Thanks.

Hi PaulOTBC and welcome to the eForum

I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems here. I can understand how frustrating it is when you have a product that works and then stops working for no apparent reason! :(

The first thing I would try is to pop the SIM out of the modem into a mobile phone and switch it on. You will then need to perform a manual roam (Manually selecting the network it is connected too. If you provide us with the make and model of phone you do this with we can provide you instructions on what to do)

Have you tried uninstalling the Vodafone Mobile Connect software and reinstalled?

Have you tried different USB slots?

Could you provide us with your full postcode and we can check that your area is not experiencing any problems with network coverage.

I'm sure we can get to the bottom of this for you, just let us know and we'll be haappy to help you further

Thanks

Wayne

Hi Wayne,

Thanks for your response.
I tried the easiest first...a different USB slot and all worked fine, thanks.
I should have tried this first!

Thanks again for your help.

Paul.
