Vodafone Network - Signal Quality after Work on Mast

Today I noticed I have a really poor signal at my house on my phone, girlfriend phone and mobile dongle. Being out and about I noticed that the where doing work on the voda mast (I know this because its a stones throw from my house). The seemed to finish around mid afternoon and since then I have been stuck with a lousy edge signal on both phones and gprs connection on the broadband dongle. The mast in question was an HSDPA mast,.... surely they havent replaced this with a 2005 EDGE mast,... cos from when we are experiancing with our phones and dongle it appears they have.

Another point to note is that a 2g/gsm signal is very poor at our house. MY Girl had a 2g blackberry in the past and had to bring it back and change it for the 3g one as we couldnt get a signal in our street......

Could someone tell me what is going on with the mast please,... I expect better than this tbh

They wouldn't downgrade a mast, it's probably due to some ongoing work that they didn't have chance to finish yesterday.

Hi Jaxo,

Thank you for posting. I've taken a look at the mast in question (site 74241) and can see that there was a planned outage on the mast on 20th September whilst some upgrades were completed (case 2104697 refers). I can see that the case was closed yesterday though, so DPH is probably correct that the work wasn't completed until the next day.

Can you confirm that you're no longer experiencing issues?
