When I access my router I cannot see the variable status information. The pages load but the detailed/variable status information shows as a blank screen. Has there been a recent hardware refresh as this has only recently happened.?

@peter7oaks Please perform a hard reset of your router before trying to log in to vodafone.connect again.
To do this you'll need to press in and hold the reset button located on the back of your router.

I get really bad speeds whilst using WiFi is there anything that I can do to improve this? Its not pratical for me to connect to ethernet.

Are you able to connect a Wifi access point to the Vodafone by ethernet and locate it nearer to where you want to use Wifi?
You may have an old router which you can use as the Wifi access point.
It is possible to pass the ethernet over your electrical wiring using home plugs, but that gets you into which brand of home plugs to buy.
