Vodafone SS and Sky Broadband - HELP

I have recently purchased VSS and am struggling to get it to work with my Sky router, all I get is a continuous red light?

Thanks for your post here.

 

Everything looks fine apart from the registration because the Sure Signal still hasn’t connected to our server.

 

Can you go through the port forwarding settings here and let me know how you get on.

Thanks you for the reply I am struggling to work out how to port forward? My router is a Sky SR101.

 

Which ports do I point ion which IP direction?

Hi rossp76, 

 

As we don't support the actual routers you would need to refer to the manufacturer or the instruction guide as it's a different set up for various routers. 

 

The information is in the link in our troubleshooting guide if you can check who the manufacturer of your router is.

If you just have a red light showing it means your Sure Signal isn't connecting to the internet.

 

Do you have another ethernet cable you can try?

 

If possible, try connecting your Sure Signal to a different broadband connection too - everything at this end looks as it should so we need to try and diagnose the cause.

I have plugged another cable in and still nothing, the red light is still on.

 

I dont have another BB to connect it to.

Can you try your Sure Signal at a friend or family members house?

 

We need to determine if the issue is with the Sure Signal or with your Internet connection.

Thanks for the update and for trying your Sure Signal at your friend’s house.

 

As you saw the same issue – red light only – it would indicate that your unit is faulty so you’ll need to pop to a Vodafone store to send it for repair.
