Hi im Sorry if this shows up in the wrong place, first time post and all.

i have had my Vodafone smart ultra 6 for over 6 months now and its been a great phone until recently, i downloaded an app from the app store and the phone started to freeze and other apps like facebook and messenger stopped working with notifications popping up saying they are unresponsive. Now i am able to press the power button to bring up the screen you use to unlock the phone, but the touchscreen wont work to allow me to unlock it, the bottom buttons arnt showing when i press them and the charger (both plug and USB) do not show when plugged in. Im concerned as i use this phone allot for work and university, ive looked online for a way for reset the phone but the locked screen is preventing this. Does anyone know what i could do to sort this please, the phone wont turn off so i cant save the battery, i have around 60% left to sort it before i wont be able to turn it back on because of the charger problem. Thankyou :Smiling:

***Update: Problem is solved, seems to be an issue with the Facebook and Messenger apps, for those with similar situation hold power button and bottom volume button for up to 30 seconds, it will ask to power off, once put back on it should work again. Ive had to delete facebook and messenger and the phone is working great now, Hope this helps***

@Tazzy1991 Before downloading anything to do with Facebook it is always, even if you are on Android, worth going to the Apple iTunes store and selecting the app you intend to download and read the most recent reviews on the latest update. If there is a problem with an app you can be sure that the problems affects both ios and Android.

The updates to which you refer both have scathing views about phones freezing and newsfeeds not showing.

Personally I never update a Facebook app until it has been out for a couple of while and the reviews give it the OK.

Good to hear that you have the phone working again.

Te last update from Facebook and Messenger stuffed up (that's a technical term) a lot of phones and tablets  so hopefully they will soon release another update to fix the bugs.
