Vodafone are liars

I ordered my iPhone6 when overseas and upgraded as on the website. Due for delivery on 19th. When received and opened, It did not work and after 1 hour using Live Chat I was told to go to a shop to sort it. I rang Vodafone (who record all calls for the training purposes so it can be verified) and was told the phone had been ordered as a new one and not an upgrade (lie 1) but admitted it was actually their fault when i pointed out how I ordered it. I was told it woudl need to be returned and a replacment sent out within 10 working days as there was no way the SIM and number details from my iPhone 5 could be transferred (lie 2)

I called the cancellation team and asked for my PAC code to go to EE. The man on the phone convinced me to stay and said he would get the numbers transferred in 20 minutes (lie 3) Two hours later I rang again and was promised it woudl be done as they always switch over at midnight (lie 4) and of courdse that did not occur.

I am currently overseas and cant use my iPhone 6 and have spent all afternoon trying to use Live Chat which is constantly busy. I now cant return the phone and go elsewhere as by the time I return the 14 day cooling off period will have ended. All because Vodafone got my order wrong and dont care about it - they have just lied to me. After all the years of loyaltly too.

If you followed the instructions and sent a message using the secure webform, you will have received an automated acknowledgement via email.  In that there will be a reference number.  Please could you post that here so that the Team can trace your message.

PWIAC

I posted the reply to the message with the number in as a subject headline as requested. I heard no more since.

What's even better though is lie # 5. I kept ringing and someone called me back this time. All I need to do is swap sims apparently. I told her that was the start of the problem so she said that is what I must do. Then said there was am error on the sim reported when they tried to transfer from one phone to the other. I waited 15 minutes to get though to the cancellation team who are very busy. He told me that a fault has has never been reported (that's lie #6 then) and said if I ask for a PAC and go elsewhere I have broken contract and will be charged £950.

Hi ceephax,

I have checked for your email.

This didn’t have WRT165 in the title and so didn’t reach us.

Please can you re send the email and make sure WRT165 is in the subject line and nothing else.

Cheers,

Laura
