On my Vodafone same 3 the lock/on& off button has stopped working is there any shortcuts or other way to turn the phone on or does it need a repair? Thanks

I'm afraid that does sound very much like a trip to the repair shop.  If you have a Vodafone shop within easy reach, they'll be able to arrange this for you.   If not, you may also be able to organise a postal repair through Live Chat.  I'm guessing you can't call 191...
