Hi guys
I've been using Vodafone wallet successfully for a few weeks now and everything works well.
The other day though I tapped to pay for something at £32 and it came up with a message on the card machine about doing something on my device. I guessed this was to put in a pin but nothing showed on my phone. The phone was locked at the time. I unlocked it and nothing came up. The cashier cancelled it and I paid with my card.
Does anyone know if it is just some merchants that allow you to spend over £30? Or should I have had my phone unlocked?
Cheers

Hi
In this link https://support.vodafone.co.uk/Vodafone-apps/Vodafone-Wallet/48243480/How-do-I-use-Vodafone-Wallet-a... it says....
"Spending Limits
As with all contactless payments the limit is £30 unless the merchant accepts payments over that amount.
To spend over £30 you will need your PIN and you'll need to add some further information."

Thanks BandOfBrothers
I have seen that on the Vodafone website but it doesn't give any details how to do it. Do I need to have my phone unlocked? Have the wallet app open? Etc
Cheers

Hi, I am not certain but do you not have to put your card pin in the machine that reads the phone, i.e your phone becomes your card ?

Hi @rob77uk
It looks to me that payments under £30 should just be a process of "All you need to do is tap your phone on the payment terminal."
For over £30 then a Pin to authorise.
Personally my preference is Android Pay.

@63johnw
Yes that's what I thought but the card reader told me to look on my device for further instructions.
@BandOfBrothers
I will need to give it another go I think. I will try it with my phone unlocked this time.
Cheers
