brand new samsung galaxy A3 won't connect to network at all

Got a new samsung galaxy a3 yesterday. Never had a samsung phone before, so very new to them. Bought it in an Argos store, so didn't purchase it in a shop. Put in a new vodafone sim card, and its recognising the sim but won't connect to the network at all. Tried all day and it's starting to annoy me now. Turned it off and on, removed and put the sim back in, still wont work. Just tells me it isn't available and to try again later and how im not registered to the network. Someone help ASAP please!

Have you activated the SIM?  You can do it onlive through My Vodafone in the red banner above or you can talk to Live Chat.   I've always found the latter to be the quickest method.
