good morning everybody

well if I go to vodauk.blackberry on the computer, and try to open a new account I am told I have to do this on my mobile device, when I try that all I get is a blank page!!!!

Now next problem, I have to use the library computer, and I am not allowed to download the uk.blackberry.com/support..........

So here I sit my old phone which is now repaired but all my setting have been deleted by kind vodafone and my newer phone is in the same situation

Why o why make life so complicated

Blackberrys are complicated because of the security they offer. Everything comes at a price.

It's been a while since I had a Blackberry so I can't give you any detailed advice on here but you should be able to get some technical support from Vodafone if you call them and ask for Blackberry help.

sorry I forgot to add that if I go to blackberry support they do not list my phone...........so no support.................this could be the time to ditch blackberry and vodafone

Not sure why you would attibute any blame to Vodafone but Blackberry is now very much a minor player in the smartphone market and thus getting support for it from anywhere might be difficult.

I am sorry, but it was vodafone who txt me to tell me they had noticed I had changed my phone and then promptly disconnected my email and changed all my account settings, blackberry had no part in this, all this problem is the same as my partner had, see my earlier forum entries, I think that all vodafone want to do is sell new phones and ignore their loyal customers, i have been for more than 20 years

I have been digging around in my phone and when i enter set up and click on email accounts i am asked for the email account which i enter and then it asks for an activation password provided by my system administrator can you tell me where this is

Hi there, an update on whats happening, the problem i'm afraid is vodafone, not their fault really but the phone was previously part of a business account and they dont seem to be able to release it.  I have now got another 9300 which has a setup wizard which worked fine to set up email,

my only problem is how to upgrade the software which is v 5.0 and I cant find my way around the blackberry site, any ideas

That's why you were being asked for a password as the phone was configured for Blackberry Enterprise Server and not consumer email known as BIS.
