Hi

I would like to use my dad's old vodafone sure signal box as I have just joined vodafone but have a poor signal in the house. How do I deregister it?

Thanks

Thanks for the link Nabs but perhaps I wasn't clear enough. It was my dad's sure signal so I cannot log in to MyVodafone and see it to deregister it. Furthermore, if my dad ever had a MyVodafone account he certainly doesn't now as he hasn't been a customer for a few years.
Any other ideas?

Hi Elephantpaul,

Apologies didn't realise you don't have access to the account.
The eForum team will be able to deregister the Sure Signal for you however they would need to speak with your dad to pass some security checks.

You mention he hasn't been a customer for a few years, does this mean the Sure Signal hasn't been used in over 12months?
Sure Signals that havnt connected to the network for 12 months are permenantly disabled so there would be no way to use it even if it were deregistered.

Thanks Nabs
He hasn't been a customer for a while but I believe the suresignal box has been plugged into their router until a few weeks ago.
Can someone from the forum team please help?
Do these forums just get checked regularly or should I do something to get their attention?

Hi Elephantpaul,

The team do check the forums however they are not Avery big team and it can take them a couple of days to get to posts when it's busy. You can get the ball tolling by posting your SureSignal serial number? You can get this in a sticker on the box, or the back or the unit.

The serial number is 21229039918

Would love to get this sorted out soon as I have almost no reception at home. If I wasn't out of the cooling off period I would be cancelling my contract.

Hi Elephantpaul,

As mentioned, as the Sure Signal is registered to your dad's old account, he'd need to request we de-register it.

Get him to fiollow the directions here and get us the details of the old account and we can help with this for you.
