It depends on how many photos there are. You can download them on to the iPhone but only one at a time. To do this find a photo and view it. At the top of the screen to the right you'll see a box with an up arrow in it. Press on that and a menu will appear at the bottom of the screen with a variety of options and one of them is 'save image'. That will do exactly what it says and add it to the camera roll on the phone.
If there are lots of photos that could take some time. In that case you should use iTunes to sync the photos from your computer to the phone. iTunes is the principal method of getting data from a computer on to the phone.

There are hundreds. So I have gotthem from my BB to a dropbox on my PC. How do I now get them onto the iphone? I connect the iphone to the pc and itunes will open. What next please? Yes I am that thick. Sorry.

Not thick - just not experienced with iPhones and there's no reason why you should be. Everything with computers and smart phones is counter intuitive in my experience.

Synced. It says my photos are in iclould and can be accessed from any wifi or mobile device. So how can I access from the phone please?
