Hi folks,
I have an iPad into which I have put a TopUp and Go Mobile Broadband sim from a dongle (using a SIM cutter). It's one of the old accounts where the top-up doesn't expire if it makes any difference.
I'm off to Amsterdam soon and would like your advice on how best to stay online and avoid big roaming charges and hotel wi-fi bills.I expect my existing SIM would be very expensive to use over there if it worked at all.
Am I best off buying another sim from a Vodafone shop in Amsterdam and if so would the same APN and password settings work? Could anyone recommend the best one to go for please? I'm using Google Translate on the .nl site but it's not easy.
Thanks in advance

Hi there m0nsterm4sh,
Thanks for your query about using your Pay as you Talk SIM in the Netherlands.
There's lots of information about data costs whilst abroad in our Going Abroad section. I can also confirm the APN's in use on a Dutch SIM would be different to those used in the UK. I'm afraid I cannot help with these settings as we don't have access to them.
A quick Google for 'Vodafone NL APN settings for mobile broadband' should help you find the right settings
I trust this helps.
Cheers,
Lee
