iPhone 6 & no NFC (Apple Pay)

Hi,

I've noticed that on the iphone comparison page on the vodafone site, all referenced to NFC (Apple Pay) has been removed. This suggests that Vodafone is blocking NFC functionality on phones registered to their network.

Hoping this isn't true?

Apple Pay via NFC is USA only anyway so its not really a feature to to list here at the moment.

I wonder if we ever will see Apple Pay in the UK? The banking industry is very regulated and it seams to take an age and nearly government intervention before changes happen. 

 

We also, unlike the US have contactless debit and credit cards. I wonder is it more likely that we will see the removal of the limit £20 on contactless card transactions rather than the introduction of a new payment system that can only be used by iPhone owners.
