Hello .
Today i receive my new 3g stick K3770 from local vodafone .
I have a 10.2 inch tablet ( china made ) with android 2.3 and support 3G.
I want to use my stick with this but
In order to work the K3770 need to disable the cdrom device emulation on the 3g stick .
I ask you for the AT commands to use from HYPERTERMINAL to disable the virtual CD-ROM drive completely .
I want to be the status = "device-only modem"
Can you provide me the correct AT commands ?

Hi villasg,
Many thanks for your post here.
Firstly I can see that you mention that the tablet has 3G connectivity which will usually mean that there would be a SIM card slot in the tablet for you to place the modem SIM in to allow you to connect using the manual dial up command AT+CGDCONT=1,”IP”,”internet” and use the username and password web.
However if this doesn’t work and you still wish to use the actual modem connected via USB, I’ve done a little digging around for you and the only thing I can seem to find is the following.
Unfortunately this is not a Vodafone process so we can not guarantee that it will work however, if you feel comfortable trying this, please let me know how you get on.
James

Hi Wayne,
On hyperterminal, AT ^ U2DIAG = 0 command or any AT ^ U2DIAG commands return as "ERROR"
ATI , ATX commands works but AT ^ U2DIAG command doesn't.
Thanks For Your Help

Hi mcabar,
I’m sorry that this isn’t working. I can’t find any more information on what to try other than what has been suggested by James.
At this point you will need to speak to an independent I.T. specialist for further help with this or, wait for one of our eForum members to come along with some suggestions.
Thanks
Wayne

It's possible that the device does not support the particular AT command here.
If this is for Android, you could see whether there is an equivalent to usb-modeswitch, to do this?

You could take a look at this, for example, but, if you are a rookie, you'd need to want to get your hands a bit dirty, and understand a bit about the kernel (including adding new drivers, if they are not there by default), RILs and the like...
Chances are, you'd be better off with a mobile Wi-Fi device!
