internet issues with 13 month old phone that never had an issue until 4 weeks ago

4g signal over 3 bars no Internet connection was all ok 4 weeks ago then lost connection spoke to vodafone customer services they did all sorts of checks. i did a full phone reset nothing worked went back to vf cust services they said the issue was there end and it would be sorted in 24 hours and by magic it was. Im now 4 weeks down the line and its done it again, and im getting kinda hacked off, if im at work i use my phone as satnav, no connection = lost engineer and cheesed off engineer Vf customer services absolutely no help and DONT SPEEK THE LINGO!! i became a vf customer 4/5 years ago and an english xall center won me over from 3 but lately its been just as bad Somebody help, ive checked all my mms and apn's manually. Ive reset the phone and vf have also re-sent me settings what more van i do Colin I live on canvey island in the Y-uk a place no more exciting than a disappointing poo

I totally understand the frustration you must be feeling over this. 

 

Process of Elimination : Can you try your sim card in another phone to see if it works or not. Then you'll know definitely if it's the Sim card or your phone. Perhaps try another known to be working Vodafone sim in your phone.

I only have a sim ,also vodafone, from a tablet and all the internet works with that. How ever I will try the sim from this in another phone

I just swapped sims feom phone to phone and the fault follows my sim so its a network error its not the sim as the sim was also replaced the last time this happened

It seems an account issue if you've swapped phones and the problem still exists.

If the fault follows the SIM, its more than likely a SIM card fault.

 

The best thing to do is to go into a Vodafone store and ask them to do a SIM swap to a new SIM and see if it makes a difference.

 

If you still have problems after a new SIM, please come back to the forum.

@Anns i understand what your saying but this is a sim thats only 4 weeks old as this was one of the things that was changed 4 weeks ago.

This problem sounds very strange.

 

I would follow @AnnS' advice and take the device / SIM into your local store and ask for a new SIM swap. I appreciate that you have already done this before four weeks ago, however taking the device / SIM into store will be the best way to diagnose the issue.

Day 4 in the big brother house,  and still no internet, new sim card fitted at midday and told again to wait 24hours. Dont hold out anyhope. Hey ho

A new SIM card can take 24 hours to fully activate. 

 

Please let me know how you get on after 24 hours.
