Hi,
My partner just joined vodafone with her iphone 4. Her phone has no way to connect to my current sure signal, although my blackberry works well with the VSS.
I registered her as an additional user, reset her phone, reset the VSS, read all the troubleshoots on the site, all is not working so far.
I also tried to put her micro sim card to another 3G hand set Nokia Lumia 800, again, no way to pick a 3G signal. So I guess there is something wrong with her new sim card? She just had a sim porting from O2 to Vodafone today.
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks
Vince

Hi jimpyle,
Your Sure Signal updated with us late last night but I've forced another resynch to be sure - please hard reset the Sure Signal and try your iPhone again.

Thanks Paul.
It appears to ahve gone through its cycle as I have a steady light again but no connection yet? Any other ideas or should I sit it out?

Hi
Sadly no. I have reset the SS a few times now and also restarted the iphone too a couple of times but its not playing ball. My wife and daughters phones are fine. I ahve also factory restored the iphone too so not sure what is going on? Is it a setting in the phone that needs changing?

Hi jimpyle,
Thanks for the update. Apart from checking that the phone is set up to access 3G (go to Settings, General, Cellular, Enable 3G), you can also try to change the owner of the Sure Signal to one of the other numbers, leave it for 24 hours and then change it back again. Doing this may force the Sure Signal to recognise the new phone.
Let me know how you go on.
Thanks
Andrew

Hi Andrew
So far I have managed to switch it over to my wifes name but no change yet. I will switch it back again tonight and force another reset too. The phone is set up correctly BUT my set up is slightly different stating: settings/general/MOBILE DATA/enable 3G (not Cellular)
Will perservere but find this odd (and frustrating as I am having to make calls away from my desk). Cannot logically think what would block this phone from making contact whereas others consistently connect.

Just a thought. This was previously an Orange iphone handset officially unlocked by Orange last week. Its not jailbroken or anything. Would that make a difference?
