keep my number - issue

I've been struggling with the operation to keep my number since Sunday evening.

I had a Vodafone number (let's call it NUMBER 1), i tought I wanted to change operator so I cancelled the contract and is now due on the 20/03.

but then I changed my mind and I made a new contract with Vodafone (NUMBER 2), but I still wanted to keep the NUMBER 1 as it's very simple.

asked for PAC code and received it,I called on Sunday evening, explained and asked "is this possible, even if I am basically moving vodafone to vodafone?"
They told me absolutely yes, go online and do the procedure.

I went and done the procedure, I received a text telling me everything would be done by Tuesday between 15 and 16.

Tuesday nothing happened, I used the live web chat and asked again "is this possible to do?"
absolutely, but now it will be between 18 and 19.

Nothing happened again, did the live chat again: yes, it's possible to do it and this will be done tonight, leave the phone off and in the morning it will be done.

Nothing was done in the morning (which was yesterday morning), so I had to do the live chat again and they told me that there were server problems that night, but everything will be done by 19 that evening.

guess what ???

still nothing !!!

I still have NUMBER 2, NUMBER 1 is still not transferred to the new sim.

This is so frustrating !

Why every person I chat with (5 already!!!!) is telling me that this porting is possible but it's never happening ??

If this is something that could not be done, why no one is simply telling me the truth so I can stop chasing them ??

Please help me, It's been 5 days already!

Hi @annacantarini

This is confusing, you are correct, it is not possible to port Vodafone to Vodafone. The number you want to move to the other contract first needs to be put onto PAYG. As soon as this has been done, you will be able to transfer to the new contract by completing the online keep your number form or by contacting Vodafone.

As you have the PAC code, the other alternative is to take out a PAYG number with an alternative network, ask for a PAC code and port back onto the new Vodafone contract with the number.  Before a PAC code can be issued, the other network will need you to add credit and make some chargeable activity to get the number active on the network.
