thanks a lot for the update. I had gone through the page you mentioned and I totally agree with the reasons the carriers delay a firmware update as compared to the manufacturer. 

As with every it/software project there are deadlines associated with them naturally so my question was more about when that deadline is due to Expire? Because expiry of that deadline will coincide with us mere mortals song that lollipop update arrive on our phones! even a ball park date would do
