Hello,
My son has taken out a new line in his name but his old number is still in my name. He's not used the new number yet as he wants to keep his old number (he's had the new phone 1 week)
How can i move his old number to his new account and get rid of his new number?
Thanks for your help.

The simplest way for this to be done would be for your Son to return the contract he has taken out in his name under the 30 day cancellation and for you to upgrade the number in your name to the phone of his choice.
When this has been done, you will be in a position to contact Vodafone and do a Change of Ownership authorisation to your Son's name. If you Son is with you are the time of the call to the Change of Ownership Team to accept the contract into his name, it will be done at midnight the same day. Your Son has already passed the credit check criteria and there shouldn't be any problems.
However, if the contract in your name is not due and upgrade or there is any remaining time left on the contract, this may need to be cleared with Customer Services.

Or.... if he'd rather keep what he's got.
You can call and get the PAC code for his old number. Use that pac to transfer out to a pay as you go sim on another network. One day later your son gets the PAC code from the other network and port back into his new contract.
The other option is you transfer his current contract number to pay as you go (but that'll take 30 days).
So a few options available to you, you can:
1. Cancel his new contract. Upgrade his current contract then do a change of ownership
2. Get a PAC for his old number, port out then port back in (would take a few days end to end)
3. Transfer his old number to PAYG (30 days) then he should be able to import it onto his new contact.
All options are a bit of a pain and will take quite a bit of customer effort but ultimately what you're looking for can be done. It's just choosing which option works best for you.
