Does anyone how i can set up sim only contacts to show on my S5.  as at moment when go into my contacts i get double names  as my contacts are on my sim and not on the phone. this  could be facebook whatsapp ect showing up all at once Thanks

Go to  contacts>settings>settings>contacts>contacts to display.

Also you could experiment with merge contacts option to eliminate the duplicity.

Just to add to the advice you have been given, you may want to make sure that your contacts are actually backed up to your Google account as that way, if you lose your phone, you won't lose your contacts to. Also, if you want to edit or tidy up your contacts, it is a lot easier to do so through GMail and as you are doing it, the changes will push through to your phone as long as you have a data connection.
