I have had a look at the coverage in your area, using the postcode on your profile, TQ5? ( assuming that this is the correct postcode for your new address)
The coverage is your area is good Indoor coverage, which can shrink from the outside depending on the amount of users.
Have you tried using the modem elsewhere at all? If the problem happens everywhere you go then there may be a problem with the modem itself, in which case I'd recommend returning it to where it was purchased from.
