"Vodafone Connect and Media server issues

Hi

I have recently connected to Vodafone broadband and I am using the Vodafone Connect router. So far I am impressed with the speed and quality of the router, but I cannot see my media server on my Xbox 360 any more. The NAS I am using is the Seagate Goflex Home. I have not had any problems with previous routers and I am sure I am missing the obvious in the set up. Any help would be gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance.

I took on Vodafone last month for home bb. I was initially told I could use my own equipment rather than the home connect. That turned out to be untrue so I am stuck with the connect rubbish. Same offer to leave with no charge, bit it's not exactly a great business model? Waiting for the patch here as this is laughable - my 10 yr old netgear router has more features with better stability. Lack of support means my home network is now crippled for media. Well done vf.

Losng my patience w/ Vodafone UK on this. Either give us the login info to use 3rd party equip of our choice or fix what you bind us to! This is a laughable position to be in.

Hi Wayne.. could you please DM me? Thanks!

Still chasing for an update on the firmware release.

I also experienced issues with streaming games from the xbox one to my windows 10 PC over wireless connections.. Managed to get this working by 'clearing' the MAC on my xbox one then rebooting it.

@glidding - As soon as we have any more information, we’ll update our statement.

Guys,

Last update in April... Its June.  I have spent money trying to make this work on AP etc but really would like all my systems to work correctly.  At the moment my NAS and my Sky Q is not working as it should due to this issue.  If you are testing please please can you at least say something to give us some hope that you might fix this issue!

Hi,  looks like there have been two streams on this subject.  A firmware release came out on Monday. I had to carry out a full factory reset by putting a pen in the small reset hole until four lights came on,  on the top of the router.  It took a while and it was a "FULL FACTORY RESET",  but I now,  finally have a working router.  Other customers found simply rebooting the router worked.  The interface has changed significantly.  Good luck.

I'm going to contact ofcom about the issue, as well as consumer ombudsman. Failure to adequately support what they sell as working equipment. This is beyond a joke. There are still people in the street signing of up for this crap as well. I hope you are being up front with new customers as you weren't with me about the problems which are known issues?
