"Vodafone Connect and Media server issues

Hi

I have recently connected to Vodafone broadband and I am using the Vodafone Connect router. So far I am impressed with the speed and quality of the router, but I cannot see my media server on my Xbox 360 any more. The NAS I am using is the Seagate Goflex Home. I have not had any problems with previous routers and I am sure I am missing the obvious in the set up. Any help would be gratefully recieved. Thanks in advance.

That is just weird! I connected my WD NAS drive to my Vodafone router and lost my TwonkyMedia server. I relocated the drive and hooked it up to a network switch and Twonymedia made a reappearance. Strange...

All working beautifully now. It's as if the router is unable to identify and use devices directly attached to it and has left it to Netgear to do the donkey work. Just buy a switch.

I'm having exactly the same issue with iTunes Home Sharimg. I have an iTunes server streaming my music and videos to various Apple TVs. When I use my router it all just works. With the Vodafone Connect router nothing can see my iTunes library. Vodafone refuses to let me use my own router. So infuriating. Stuck in an 18 month contract with a device that isn't fit for purpose and stops me and my family enjoying our media around the house.

@EHExplorer We're sorry to hear you're experiencing trouble connecting certain devices with your Vodafone Broadband router.

We're currently investigating into this and will be in touch as soon as we can with an update.

@EHExplorer We're still investigating into this.

As soon as we have any further updates, we'll be in touch.

I really wish you guys would just let me use the router of my choice, Leave the router manufacturing the the companies that know what they are doing. And let the customers who know what they are doing do what they want.

Please let me know if you need any further details/assistance from me.

Same issue for me. I have had to use my old Sky router as a switch/access point in order to workaround the issue. Less than ideal, looking forward to a fix.

Just to add my +1 to this - also suffering from the problems described.

Spent ages blaming the config on my Raspberry PI for not sharing DLNA - much head scratching and hours of research led me here.

Looking forward to a patch
