Sync is just the link from your router back to the exchange. Activation is something different that just follows. Don't hold your breath, it should be good to go in the morning.

You dreamer. Nope, activation #fail.
Called them today, engineer due on Thursday. Doubt that'll make any difference as Openreach were around last month went BT Broadband went down. Couldn't fix it then, doubt they'll fix it now.
Currently using GSM wifi base station with big data SIM. Less hassle and comparable price to BT/Voda (and certainly fewer surprises!)

That's a shame. Did vodafone have you do a factory reset?

So wow, shock, the guy fixed it. I am actually connected to Vodafone broadband:-)
It was an actual Openreach person, not a subcontractor like the last guy. He took the socket off the wall, hooked it up to a test machine then went off to the cabinet. I had been plugged in to the wrong line.
So fingers crossed I can stop moaning about broadband now:-)
