My new Vodaphone broadband package

Hi. I made a contract for broadband. My Virgin Media broadband ends 20th May. I did download the Contract Summary. But, I have no email confirmation and apparantly am not registerted with Vodaphone.  So, I cannot see my contract on a Vodaphone wepsite/ page. A bit disconcerting. I am hoping Vodaphone will take care of the switch-over on 20th May or thereabouts.

It's not unusual to not be able to log into your Vodafone account until it goes "live". (despite what the email says)

However, as you are moving from Virgin, you can't rely on Vodafone handling the cancelation of Virgin, as they use different infrastructure. (Virgin has its own infrastructure, Vodafone will use Openreach or CityFibre, depending on what is available where you live)

Do you not have any form of confirmation of your new contract? (usually an email at least)

Edit: Have you signed up for FTTC (Fibre) or FTTP (Full Fibre)?

I've cancelled. When I make an online order I expect to crerate a registration and be able to log-in to see the contract.

Sometimes things don't go smoothly when re-entering contracts. Virgin messed up by indicating I had made a new contract, then sending me emails telling me my old contract expired in May. It was a nightmare trying to get Virgin confirm what contract I was currenly on using Facebook. I got so miffed with Virgin I decided to change to Vodaphone. Then the Vodaphone experience of not being able to sign in and view the contract put a dampner on things. So, I phoned up Virgin and got confirmation of what contract was on, and in the end said to myself "Stuff this,  I'll stick with Virgin".  Such "obstacles" as mentioned impact on what how we finally arive at a decsion.

You pays your money and.......... as they say. In the end your decision.

For me in my case, I had read on this community that account access would not be available for new Vodafone customers until activation day.   My date is due 8th May.

Due to the fact that I will be saving £15 month by moving to Vodafone I was willing to accept this quirk.

Today I received a message from Openreach requesting that I confirm that I want them to action my new Vodafone service on the 8th May.  So everything is progressing OK and I am happy, and so will my wallet be, that I signed up with prior knowledge of the Vodafone quirks.
